  How to successfully install re-textures

Please follow these simple steps: 
1. Download your skin and save it on your computer. 
2. Then go to your CS GO directory and drag and drop the materials folder from the skin you downloaded into your “csgo” folder.

3. Right after that open up “pak01_dir” with “Notepad++” which is located in the “csgo” folder in your CS GO directory.

4. On every skin you download you have to change “pak01_dir” directory lines to make the game look for the modified texture.

5. The skin which you downloaded will include a view re-texture and a custom name of that re-texture so you have to find these lines and modify them to match with the view re-texture’s custom name: $basetexture "models\weapons\v_models\......... 
6. And if it includes a world re-texture (and of course a custom name of that re-texture) you have to find these lines and modify them to match with the world re-texture’s custom name: $baseTexture "models/weapons/w_models\.........

7. Then click save and close “Notepad++” 
8. Watch the pictures carefully one more time to make sure that you got everything

Manual installation of textures and gloves for CS 1.6
Attention, for each weapon model you need to install gloves separately!


Unpack the downloaded archive. AT

The archive can be a folder:

"Textures"; - A folder with the textures (gloves).


Inside the folder can be the following files: hands.bmp - the texture of the gloves.

Finger.bmp - texture of fingers.

Skin.bmp - texture of sleeves (hands).


If the name of the files is different, then this is not a glove, you should yourself understand what kind of texture it is and replace it with another texture using the instructions below.


To install new textures / gloves, download the Half-Life Model Viewer.


Install it and run, then follow the instructions:

1.Open the file with the weapon model for which you want to change the gloves with this program (second click on v_ * model> open with ...> overview> and select the EXE file of the downloaded program).

2. At the bottom of the program, select the "Textures" tab.

3. In the drop-down menu, select the file view_glove.bmp.

4. On the right, click "Import Texture" and select the file hands.bmp unpacked from the archive with gloves.

5. Then in the drop-down menu, select view_skin.bmp, click "Import Texture" and select the file skull.bmp.

6. Then in the drop-down menu, select view_finger.bmp, click "Import Texture" and select file finger.bmp.

7. Click the Save Model button, which is located under the "Import Texture" button.

Done. Perhaps some files do not have to be replaced unless they are in the glove file.

Guide for installing sprites for CS 1.6
Unpack the downloaded WinRAR program archive. In the archive there can be a folder: "Sprites";


Copy and replace it in the directory: Your local drive: \ path to the folder with the game \ cstrike. for example

C: \ Games \ Counter-Strike 1.6 \ cstrike \.


If there are no folders, read on:

Files with the extension * .spr copy to the folder C: \ Games \ Counter-Strike 1.6 \ cstrike \ sprites \.


For example, after unpacking the archive with a shot, you have the following files:

Muzzleflash1.spr

Muzzleflash2.spr

Muzzleflash3.spr

Muzzleflash4.spr


That means you downloaded the sprite shot. Copy all these files to the folder C: \ Games \ Counter-Strike 1.6 \ CStrike \ sprites \.
